Mali's environmental concerns
Mali is blessed with its natural resources. However, the country remains to be one of the poorest countries in Africa as almost half of its population belongs within the poverty line. The prevalence of deforestation and inadequate supply of potable water due to its poor sanitation are among the environmental issues that the country is facing up to this point of time. But among the significant problems of Mali is the prevailing drought in the area that enormously affects the country’s agriculture sector.
